HR Recruitment and Generalist Functions

HR recruitment is only one function of hiring candidates, which also involves finding candidates, screening them for the right fit, interviewing them, and selecting them.

HR Generalist Profile

The HR generalist profile covers a range of HR functions, including hiring, completing joining formalities, monitoring probations and confirmations, attendance and punctuality monitoring, leave management, sometimes payroll functions (which are mostly handled by the accounts department in some organizations), performance appraisal monitoring, training, grievance handling, statutory compliance such as deductions of PF, ESI, and taxes, and management information like preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Additionally, it involves liaising with statutory authorities like Labor enforcement officers at the unit level, etc.

Hi Saikumar,

Greetings from Adhaan Solutions Pvt Ltd.

HR generalist profile includes all HR functions, but sometimes Payroll and other statutory compliance are outsourced to a third party. HR professionals, please share your views on outsourcing the payroll to a third party as Payroll Process Outsourcing. Is it good to outsource statutory compliance, or should it be handled within the company?
