Managing Frequent Worker Changes: How Do You Handle PF Records and Service Breaks?

Managing Frequent Worker Changes and PF Records

We are deploying workers for our packing section through a labor contractor who provides a work order outlining all terms and conditions for the implementation of PF and ESI as per statutory norms. We are paying management charges separately (with ST). However, the issue we are facing is that the workers he assigns to us are frequently changing. For example, a person may work for 20 days in one month but not attend the next month, only to return the following month.

Handling Service Breaks in PF Records

How should we record their service breaks in the PF records? Should we mark it as Leave Without Pay (LOP) for the absence period, or should we assign a new PF number each time?

Challenges with Worker Details

Additionally, it is proving challenging to input their details, such as names and their Father's/Spouse's names, as many of them do not possess valid ID proof like Aadhar. Please advise.

Since you have deployed workers of a contractor, it is the responsibility of the contractor to pay the statutory dues like PF, ESI, etc. I hope the contractor has a separate ESI and PF code in which they are regularly depositing the contribution.
