I agree with Excelencia Skills. There is talent in India, but the shortage is felt for various reasons. Firstly, the hiring managers in many cases are not adept at understanding the core competencies required for a job and mostly go by the reputation of the institutes or the articulation of the candidate in the half-hour interview, mistaking apples for oranges. Secondly, the candidates themselves are confused about what they are good at and end up choosing the wrong careers. Thirdly, as Excelencia says, most of them do not know how to discover an employer who values talent, and the employers also do not know how to meet talent. The recruitment agencies, who act as a connecting link between the candidate and the employer, are either short of that special talent who can spot talent from the heap or do not invest enough in research.
