How to Handle an Employee's Verbal Resignation Without a Written Notice?

kumar_2016
In our company, one of the employees was informed by HR to leave the company with a two-month notice period given to him. This was communicated verbally, with no written notice provided. However, he mentioned that he would submit a resignation letter after a month. His salary for the last month was also paid, but as of now, he has not submitted any resignation letter. Please advise on what email to send him for company records as proof that he has resigned.

Why was notice given orally? What is the reason for asking the employee to leave?

"Till now, he has not given any resignation letter. Please tell me what mail to send him for company proof that he resigned." I cannot understand this sentence. Kindly clarify so that suggestions can be given. Kindly use spell check to ensure correct spellings in posts.

If you want to terminate any employee, you have a choice. Either you terminate them for just cause or convince them to resign. Most employees in higher positions will likely choose to resign as receiving a termination letter can make it challenging to secure another job.

However, if the employee does not voluntarily resign, then termination is necessary. It was a mistake for HR to assume that the employee would resign after a month.

Of course, without complete information, we cannot provide any further advice.
