Facing Rude Management After Resignation: How Can I Ensure a Smooth Exit?

itsmedeep2016
I have been working for xx company for several months now, but I am unable to continue due to the poor management system. Words are falling short to describe it. I have now submitted my resignation citing two main reasons:

1. Overtime without any pay.
2. Management not showing respect and appreciation for employees' work.

During my notice period, I aim for a smooth exit from the company. However, I am facing challenges due to the disrespectful and rude behavior of my manager. How should I handle this situation? Does the manager have the right to speak to employees in such a manner, while employees feel unable to respond for fear of receiving a negative mark on their relieving letter?

The HR department of the company has not been supportive in resolving any of these issues. Therefore, there is no assistance from any management personnel to address the concerns raised by the employees.

My sincere advice is to grit your teeth and bear the treatment. Remember the old adage "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but bad words do not." Managers do not have rights, but some behave as though they own the company.

It is sad that the manager is behaving so poorly. I would advise following a policy of avoidance, as the learned member above mentioned - grit your teeth and bear it. Show no outward sign of being affected by his behavior. You cannot control his actions, but you can control your reactions. Once you do not respond, he will ignore you in the short period you have together.

I am also facing the same problem. The manager's behavior changed immediately after resigning, and the notice period is also 3 months, which is high to bear. But no option.

BCAD1234,

My advice to you would be the same as the reply given to the earlier post. You can control your reaction but not others' actions, so focus on avoidance and self-control. Deal with him calmly and in clear avoidance mode.
