Facing Termination Over Past Incident: How Can I Prove My Innocence and Secure My Job?

Hello, I am working at HDFC Life as a sales manager. In my previous organization, an incident occurred where my then boss consumed alcohol at the office and was terminated for this reason. I was present there, and although I did not consume alcohol, I was asked to resign with proper pay and notice. Now, in my present organization, this incident became known during the background check. The HR department said I shall be terminated. Hence, my portal, wages, and salary were blocked. They also said that if I could bring a letter of innocence from my ex-company stating that I didn't consume alcohol, they would reinstate me. I obtained such a letter. They conducted a re-background check, and my ex-company HR confirmed that the letter was genuine, yet disciplinary action was taken against me. For this reason, HDFC Life is again telling me that they would issue termination. What should I do now? Does this also mean that I won't get a job anywhere else?

Taking action does not stand to reason.

You have received a letter from X company stating that you did not consume liquor, yet they still want to terminate you. Please document all the facts in writing to your HR boss and clarify the incident. I am confident that they will reconsider their decision.
