New to HR? How Do I Start with Provident Fund and Salary Processing?

Hi all,

I am new to this forum and recently joined a company as an Executive in HR. The management has tasked me with completing the provident fund process with the existing employees. Although I have some knowledge of statutory compliances, I am unsure how to begin the work. Can anyone help me by suggesting the steps for processing PF, ESIC, and employee salaries?

To register with EPF, all you have to do is browse to the URL EPFO || OLRE and select the option "CLICK HERE FOR APPLYING ONLINE FOR PF CODE NUMBER." On selection of the link, it will lead to another page for registration. The URL is Employer e-Sewa. Then select the tab "Register."

To register with ESI, browse to the URL <link outdated-removed> Portal_Login.aspx and select the option "signup." On selection of the link, it will lead to another page for registration.

Thank you, Jeevaratnam, Sir. I will follow accordingly. As a fresher, I want to completely understand the statutory compliances in HR and the salary structure. How is the salary designed for the employees, and in what percentage? It would be more helpful if you could provide me with a sample salary sheet for my reference.
