I'm Anil, working at ICICI Bank in the HR department as an Assistant Manager for the last four years. When I joined ICICI Bank, my position was an officer in the sales department. However, I deliberately moved to HR because I wanted to work in that department. To this day, I have been working in the HR department.

Currently, I am looking for job opportunities in other companies. Unfortunately, I have not been selected by any company yet. Also, smaller firms have offered me very low packages that I could not accept because my current package is 3 lakhs. Therefore, I am afraid of starting my career again from a salary of 15k, which was my initial salary when I joined this bank. Additionally, I have not undergone any HR courses or training.

Please guide me on the right path to make my career brighter and to secure a managerial position. Can you suggest a short course that I can pursue to enhance my skills and improve my chances of landing a managerial job? This would help me save both time and money in my job search.

Promotion Policy and Career Planning

ICICI Bank must have a clear-cut promotion policy. One needs to achieve the laid-down qualifications to get a promotion. Why are you looking for another job? What exactly is your career plan? To make your career bright, one has to plan, add qualifications, and allow time for the next promotion. All this takes time, dedication, and focus.

There are various courses and diplomas in labor laws, HR, etc., which you can pursue to enhance knowledge and improve your CV. Never leave a job until you have secured another one. I personally feel you should stick around in your present job and focus on adding qualifications first. You also need to improve your English.
