Steps of Recruitment - When does this validation take place in recruitment process?

Piyali Chatterjee
Hi folks! I'm Piyali, a management student. My question is regarding recruitment procedure.
All I know about the steps of recruitment process are delineated below:
1. Sourcing,
2. Screening,
3. Short-listing,
4. Interview,
5. Selection.
There is an another term "validation". Is it a part of recruitment process? When does this validation take place in recruitment process?
Thanking You,
Regards,

Hi Piyali,
Validation is a step for measuring the effectiveness of a given approach.
For example: A selection process is valid if it helps you increase the chances of hiring the right person for the job.
Validation is itself a part and parcel as it is important because it validate the total recruitment process so that the Right person is selected for the Right Place at Right Time.
And if you are asking in terms of "Employee Verification" yes it is a part of recruitment process where you verify the details of the employee from his previous employer.
Hope cleared your query.

Dear Piyali,
The steps you mentioned is for recruitment ONLY.
But actual process starts much before when a business head raises the want of new recruit. Then follows the Job responsibilities and desired results from the vacancy, its impact on your budget as compared to outcome. Then process is to get the desired skills, experience , salary etc. in consideration for the expected candidate.
Publish it and then get the applications.
Now "validation" can be at any stage of the processes mentioned.(Pls. specify where do your need it)
Validation can be at the 1st stage of having a new employee , or at the desired experience or at number of vacancies or maybe at budgeting salary .
If you want it after the selection then it can be Validation of Documents of candidate , his / her experience, family background, past salary details, criminal records, medical history, social activities etc.
