Starting a Training and Development Department: What Resources Do You Recommend?

Hi Team,

I need some information on how to start up a training and development department in the organization. Having said that, we have a few things in bits and pieces. Your support in suggesting books for good reads and documents is highly appreciated.

2) CMMi - OT process - CMMI - Organizational Training (OT) Process Area
3) PCMM - People CMM - PCMM® - QAI Global Institute

Hi
Please try Cite HR archives.
Type “Training and Development” inside the box 'Search Cite.co'
that you find in the title bar right above.
After typing in the box, press the 'research' button next to it.
You will get lot of information.

How big is your company? Is the top management convinced of the value of T&D department?

Get the CEO/top guy on your side. Convince him of why it is such a good idea. Once he assures you of resources and cooperation, start small and then build up. Choose the most visible team in the company and find out what training will make them go gaga about. Then deliver them that training and make them your brand ambassadors.

Best wishes.
