1. Sir, such like statements are generally found in news papers/media occasionally after some intervals. You can see similar subject has been discussed many times in this citeHR in past. But I understand that so far no draft notification for amendment in the relevant ESI (Central) Rule has so far been issued by the appropriate government for comments from the persons to be affected by such enhancement of wage ceiling under said Act.
2. Keeping in view the fresh initiatives of the appropriate government ( like making ESI optional, or enhancing coverage limit to 40 and above persons in respect of factories as a result of enactment of the Small Factories Bill), I am doubtful if the government will seriously take initiative to enhance wage ceiling under said Act.
