Salary Breakdown Confusion: Can I Include Income Tax Deductions in the Appointment Letter?

Greetings. I have a confusion. I have to show the salary breakup with the appointment letter, but can I show income tax deduction in this breakup? Please give me a suitable format.

Including Salary Breakup with Appointment Letter

Along with the appointment letter, you need to share the salary breakup. You can either include it as part of the appointment letter or add it as an annexure and issue it alongside the appointment letter.

As part of the breakdown, if you are presenting it as CTC, the following components should be mentioned:

1) Fixed Allowances (Fixed wages such as Basic, DA, HRA, Conveyance Allowance, Medical Allowance, etc.)
2) Variable Allowances (Incentive, Bonus, etc.)
3) Benefits (Employer contribution to EPF, ESI, and insurance, Gratuity, Statutory Bonus, etc.)

There is no need to show the TDS. It is not possible to include the TDS along with the appointment letter.
