Understanding VPF Limits: How Much Can You Contribute with a Rs. 60,000 Salary?

Hi,

Can anybody help me understand what the maximum limit for VPF is? For example, if an employee's basic salary is Rs. 60,000 per month, what is the maximum contribution to VPF?

Dear,

There is no maximum limit; you can opt for 100% after deducting 12% from your salary. All remaining balance value with your salary may be opted as VPF.

R K is absolutely right. It is voluntary, which means you contribute 100% of your basic salary (12% + 88%).
