Wage Register Confusion: Should We Include Salary Details Along with Wages?

ramya.tbt
In the register of wages, do we need to enter only wage details or even salary details? Example: We are a service-based company having only staff category. We are maintaining muster roll and other registers as per the Karnataka Shops & Establishments Act. Kindly suggest.

Hi,

In the wages register, you have to update all the components in the form of the Muster Roll.

Here is some information available in this link: https://www.citehr.com/134232-muster...mat-ks-ce.html.

The wages mentioned in the format/registry are gross salary as per your payroll, including deductions and net take-home pay. You may enter fixed rates such as basic, DA, HRA, and conveyance that are paid every month. There is no need to include variables and reimbursements paid through various sources from time to time. If you are paying for anything like overtime through the payroll, it should also be included.

Dear Ramya,

You have to maintain Form - T (combined muster roll) as per the KS & CE Act. It doesn't matter whether the employees are under the staff category or workmen's category; you have to mention their attendance and salary details of all the employees of your organization who are working in Karnataka in the above said format and act.
