Facing Resignation Roadblocks Due to Health Issues: What Steps Can I Take Next?

naveenkumar.garega@gmail.com
Hi Everyone,

I am working in an IT Company. Recently, I am hospitalized and unable to continue working. I have applied for resignation and have also given a bond. However, the issue now is that they are not accepting my resignation. Kindly suggest what I should do next. I have all the documents related to my health, such as a doctor's certificate, etc.

What steps should I take now?

First of all, I wish you a prompt recovery from health problems.

Secondly, how long have you been working and in what capacity?

How many years is the bond for?

Did they provide you with any specialized training, etc.?

What type of injury have you suffered?

Is it rendering you medically unfit, thus unable to continue in this job?

Is the company suspecting that you are using a medical excuse to avoid the bond and leave the company?

Wish you a speedy recovery.

The company cannot force you to work against your will or compel you to work. They can, however, withhold a relieving letter. If they choose to withhold your salary, then you can take legal action if you feel it's worth the trouble.
