A colleague informed me that provident fund (employee) should be deducted from my account, and provident fund (employer) should be contributed by the company, not from the employee's salary. What should I do now?

Both the employer and employee have to contribute to EPF. First, clarify with the employer. If you are not convinced, approach the PF enforcement officer.
