PF Applicability On Wages Paid For Constrution

Construction working is going on a pvt company,company has its own maintenance dept & employees under it.
During maintenance works,they may hire certain labours & pay them wages,is PF & ESI applicable or is it companies liable to pay esi.They may be paid wages 2 or 3 months maximum.

Where 10 or more employee is engaged in work in any time with add of power and 20 or more without add of power, ESI & PF will be applicable, whether employee works 1 day or more.

If these workers have an existing UAN number from PF, you need to credit the PF in the same code. If not, you need to make new PF codes for them and tell them that they should use it wherever they work in future.
Meanwhile, you may be also required to pay chess under BOCW act.mplease check it out.

yes if company maintenance deparment is hiring someone to carry out any work in the company applicability of PF/ESI exist.
