Understanding Admin and EDLI Deductions: How Are They Calculated on Employee Salaries?

Respected seniors, I have one query regarding the deduction of Admin (1.1%), EDLI (0.5%), and EDLI (0.01%) Admin charges. Please let me know on which amount these respected charges will be calculated.

Employee C is contributing 20000 voluntarily, but the employer's share is 15000. Employee D joined after 01.04.2014 and was not a member of PF earlier, so EPS was not deducted.

The admin charges for EPF have been revised to 0.85%. The calculation would be like this...

EPF Admin (A/c 2): 0.85% of (basic + DA) EDLI: 0.5% of (basic + DA) EDLI Admin (A/c 22): 0.01% of (basic + DA).

In case of no employees or few employees in your organization, then some minimum admin charges should be met.

In case of No Employees: minimum Rs. 75 in A/c 2 and Rs. 25 in A/c 22 In case of Others: 0.85% or Rs. 500, whichever is higher in A/c 2, and 0.01% or Rs. 200, whichever is higher in A/c 22.
