Are Employees Earning Over ₹15,000 Entitled to ESIC Medical Benefits? Seeking Clarification

Gaurav.HRM
With reference to the amendment in the ESI regarding the wage ceiling limit, which is up to ₹15,000, in our company, some of our employees have a gross salary exceeding ₹15,000. Both employee and employer contributions are made, but no medical facilities are extended to employees in our company hospital.

In this case, I seek clarification on whether they should be covered under ESIC and receive medical facilities in an ESIC hospital or not.

You have mentioned that there are employees whose gross salary crosses the Rs. 15,000/- limit. Even in such cases, ESIC contributions from both sides, i.e., the employee and the employer, are made to ESIC (which I doubt). Assuming that the contributions are made regularly, the employees are covered under ESIC and will receive medical facilities from ESIC hospitals only. I fail to understand the hiccup; please elaborate so that I can get a proper view/response to your post.
