I would like to know list of trade unions recognised and the difference in rights between registered and recognised trade unions?

Recognition of Trade Union is a matter of industrial establishment-specific and therefore it is not possible for any individual to furnish a list in this regard. Coming to the second query, a recognized Trade Union enjoys the prerogative of being the bargaining-agent of the entire workforce of the establishment in the matter of collective bargaining relating to conditions of employment.

In addition to what the Seniors said above, a trade union,in order to have a legal persona, need to be registered first under the Indian Trade Unions Act and therefore a recognized shall also be a registered trade union. As Mr. Umakanthan said, it is not possible to furnish a list of recognized trade unions as recognition is industry specific and establishment specific and in some states like Maharashtra, is governed by special statutes. You need to collect details of recognized trade unions operating in your State with reference to the industry you are working in.
