Recognition of a Trade Union is a matter specific to the industrial establishment, and therefore it is not possible for any individual to provide a list in this regard. Moving on to the second query, a recognized Trade Union holds the privilege of being the bargaining agent for the entire workforce of the establishment in matters concerning collective bargaining related to employment conditions.

In addition to what the seniors said above, a trade union, in order to have a legal persona, needs to be registered first under the Indian Trade Unions Act. Therefore, a recognized trade union shall also be a registered trade union. As Mr. Umakanthan said, it is not possible to furnish a list of recognized trade unions as recognition is industry-specific and establishment-specific. In some states like Maharashtra, it is governed by special statutes. You need to collect details of recognized trade unions operating in your state with reference to the industry you are working in.
