How Do We Close Our Organization's PF Account with Only 4 Employees Left?

I am an HR representative of an Education training institute. We had around 25 employees at the time of our PF establishment. However, currently, we have only 4 employees in the PF account. Therefore, we wish to close our organization's PF account. Please share the procedure for closing the account.

Please note that a company registered under the PF Act cannot be deregistered under normal circumstances, even if the number of employees falls below the required threshold after registration.

Procedure for Deregistering a PF Account

To deregister the account, you must provide solid, genuine, and compelling reasons such as closure or liquidation. You should visit the RPFC office to understand the possibilities and the documentation required. You will need to convince the RPFC with your supportive reasons to proceed with the closure process.
