Overtime Calculation - is There Any Requisition Form to Be Received From the Project Managers?

aMubeen
I would like to know how to calculate overtime for an IT-based company in case programmers are working extra hours. Is there any requisition form to be received from the project managers if their team is working extra hours?

In case, can I get the formula for overtime with abbreviations and a sample requisition form for overtime?

Thanks in advance.

Please find the calculation:

((Basic + DA) * (No. of OT hours worked) * 2
----------------------------------------------------
(No. of working days (in that particular month) * 8)

Dear All,

In "CITI HR," different answers for one question. Just how can I confirm which one is the correct answer for the question? For example, some of them said OT calculation is based on Basic+DA, while some others said it should be on the total gross salary. Which one is correct?

Why does this happen? Why don't they give an exact answer to the question? Is the site for passing time or for gathering knowledge?

"Please find the calculation - ((Basic+DA) * (No of OT hours worked) * 2) / (No of working days (in that particular month) * 8)"

Hi,

OT Calculation in a simple way:

1. Basic + DA per month / 26 days to arrive at 1-day salary or wage.
2. Per day salary / 8 hrs to arrive at per 1 hr wage or salary.
3. Number of OT hrs X per hr wage or salary X No. of OT hrs X 2 (double wage).
