Navigating Job Applications: Should I Omit My First Job Experience Due to Verification Issues?

Job Experience Dilemma

I started my work at a small company in my hometown, which provided training and practical experience in the field. With one year of experience, I secured a job where I worked for nearly another year. Currently, I am employed at a reputable MNC and have been here for almost 1.5 years. I no longer wish to showcase my initial experience with my first company in any future job searches. However, I encountered an issue when asked to register all my company details in NSR IT - my first company is no longer operational, and the verification on the NSR IT portal reflects this.

I am hesitant to include the experience from my first company in future job applications to avoid any complications. Will removing my initial work experience pose any problems in my next job, considering the experience I may lose in the process?

Dilip

Hi Mr. Dilip,

Never try to hide your first company and experience because the experience you gained in the first company helps you climb up to the level where you are now. Just because that company no longer exists does not necessitate you to hide your experience.

"I was asked to register all my company details in NSR IT, but when I checked the same in the portal of NSR IT, it's not verified. My first company doesn't exist anymore, and I really don't want to risk showing experience of this company.

Not a reason to omit the period of service. You must be having some certificates, proof of having worked there."
