Hello Everyone!

I am a postgraduate student studying MSc Psychology in Human Resource Development Management. I would like to know the current trends in handling accidents in the manufacturing sector as it is a delicate issue and occurs frequently. As future HR professionals, it is utmost important that these cases should be handled properly.

Dear member,

From your question/issue as raised by you, it is not clear on which point you require clarification. There are a number of Acts, such as the Factories Act, ESI Act of 1948, or the Employees' Compensation Act, which deal with situations and issues relating to accidents in connection with or in the course of employment. I hope you will review these Acts and raise any specific issues or doubts you may have. Additionally, some cases may involve medico-legal aspects, requiring actions under criminal law, such as fatal cases.

Accident cases in any sector, whether manufacturing or non-manufacturing, need to be handled, processed, investigated, and decided in accordance with the provisions of various Acts and the rules/regulations framed under them. They should not be determined based on any "trends" from the past or present, as you have requested.

Thank you.

Hi Nidhi,

I usually log on to this website called www.asklabourproblem.info. It's really comprehensive, and they cover a lot of the law. Hope it's helpful.
