Leave Calculation Dilemma: Should Employee Leave Start from Sunday or Tuesday?

One of our employees has taken leave from Tuesday, and we have a holiday declared by the company on Monday. Sunday is the weekly off. Should we consider his leave from Tuesday or Sunday? Please guide.

Leave is from Tuesday. As you provide a weekly off and a holiday, the question of considering leave from Sunday never arises. They are prefixed to the leave on Tuesday.

The leaves have to be considered from Tuesday. There cannot be prefixing of the leaves. The weekly off or holiday will be part of the leaves only if they fall right in between the leave period. For example, if Saturday and Monday the person is on leave, then Sunday will be a leave and not a week off.

Weekly off, festivals, holidays, or any day falling within the leave period are considered part of the leave. Since the employee was available on Saturday, his leave will be considered from Tuesday only.
