Struggling with Career Transition: How Can I Move from Recruitment to HR Generalist?

Hello everyone, my name is Sashidhar. I completed my MHRM from Andhra University and have been working with NIIT LTD as a Recruitment Coordinator for 1 year and 6 months. I am now looking for a job change and want to pursue my career as an HR Generalist or in core HR operations. Unfortunately, nobody is considering my past experience, and everyone wants to hire me as a fresher.

My second query is, if I join as a US IT Recruiter now, would I be able to switch my domain to HR Generalist or core HR operations after a couple of years? Please help me with this.
