Is It Normal to Pay a Consultancy Fee for CV Shortlisting? Seeking Advice!

responsetobijaykumarsahoo
I have updated my CV on Naukri.com and Shine.com on Sunday. From Monday onwards, some (3 to 4) consultancies called and informed me that my CV has been shortlisted for certain companies. They mentioned that I need to deposit a certain amount of money (i.e., 2,000/- to 3,000/-) as membership fees. They promised to highlight my resume and give it priority when referring it to the companies. Do I really have to pay this amount? Please advise me.

There are a lot of fake consultancies also running in the place. Go check the reviews on Google and then decide for yourself.
