Hi CIte Hr,

First of all thanks to Cite Hr members to providing very useful knowledge about HR & company related activities everyday.

I need a help related to deduction in my offer letter. As my company offered me around 4.7 LPA approx and the salary breakup as follows.

Basic: 15000/-
HRA: 7500/-
Convenyance: 800/-
CCA: 4000/-
Special Allow.: 7173
Gross = 34473

Deduction

PF Employee: 2004
LWF; 36
PF Employer: 1800
LWF:12

Net Take Home: 32461/-Rs

CTC is 36513

Service Charge: 2373

Total CTC including Service Charge 6.5%

Total CTC: 38886

I have some doubts and need to know more information, These are

1. I have got first salary slip, There is, they deduct 800Rs of income tax (IT). Is it correct that employee contributes in IT while i already declared income tax declaration form? how can save this amount? pls suggest

2. Why they applied Service charge 6.5%? however this is not mentioned in offer letter. get this detail from a source

3. Is this correct that if employer contributes in PF then it should deduct from CTC?

Looking for active support, Thanks in Advance

Regards

Hi,
Regrsds your IT deductions you have to discuss with your account dept. they will guide you better. Second thing service charge deductions for what ask to your HR department. Pf contribution depends on co. to co.
