Office Hours and Punctuality Policy

We are all well aware that the office hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. However, it has been observed that most of the staff are not reporting for duty on time, thus violating the organization's code of conduct. This is being viewed as serious misconduct on the part of the employees.

Henceforth, staff will be given a grace period of 15 minutes from the reporting time. Two initial warnings will be given, and on the third warning, half a day's salary will be deducted from the monthly package. Emergency circumstances or other natural problems should be informed to the person in charge. Only genuine reasons will be considered on a prior information basis.

Kindly adhere to the above, failing which the management will be forced to take strict disciplinary action against those who are found violating the code of conduct hereafter. All are expected to take this instruction seriously. You should take the action initially and deduct half salary on the third warning.

The first and the best thing is to make everyone feel they belong to the organization. They should realize the organization is their own. Unfortunately, many organizations take the other way, and there is always a threat and stick in their hands, ultimately causing everyone to dilute the situation. One more thing is favoring others by means of self-imposed superiority.

Circular on Office Timings

Of late, we have noticed the office timings compelled to be changed from nine o'clock because of latecomers. Being late to the office is justified by many means, such as missing transportation, preparing school-going children, taking care of elderly parents, etc. These are all responsibilities that come with the job.

The office is your right to live, and it expects a disciplined way of presenting yourself on time. You are serving for a cause, and your services are recognized by honoring you. Yet, arriving late to the office is a sign of indiscipline. Permissions are enjoyable, but exceeding limits will lead the organization to take necessary actions, such as cutting salary or issuing cautionary letters, which you may not appreciate.

Let us adhere to the office timings and spread the message "We Greet Timing" and punctuality.

Best regards... One should feel they belong; the rest, you will see the change.

Hello Sir,

You are right, but the same thing happened in the past with us more than fifty times. Management circulated normal circulars, but in that case, there was no improvement in any. In the last situation, we did this, and at first, it was difficult to handle, but now all are coming on time. It's not a threat but only for the purpose of discipline.

Thank you so much, Gopinath Sir. It's a big help and guidance from your end. Sir, if you can also guide on certain draft formats to send to a particular individual even after giving verbal warnings. Draft formats on punctuality, termination, appreciation, welcome on board, bye-bye employee, cooperation, resignation, retention, etc. All these things will be of big help if you can email it to sampreetha@cognitiveclouds.com.
