Maternity Leave in India: Has the Private Sector Increased It to 6 Months?

Please let me know the updated maternity policy in the private sector in India. Has this been increased from 3 to 6 months?

Dear Ruchi,

This is a great practice to increase the months from 3 to 6; unfortunately, there has been no official revision in this regard yet. The talks are ongoing, and proposals are being shared by many, but the decision itself is still pending. Therefore, it remains at 3 months. (Also, there is no discrimination in Maternity Policy between the Private and Public sectors.)
