Concerned About Rehiring at Wipro After Being Labeled a Non-Performer by My Manager?

Nikk_14
Hi HR Team,

I have recently left the organization Wipro InfoTech, and my manager warned me that he would prevent my rehiring at Wipro due to being labeled a "non-performer" following past conflicts with him.

Will this truly impact my chances of being rehired in the future? Please advise.

Regards,

In some MNCs, managers have access to their software to provide remarks related to rehiring in the future. If you wish to rejoin in the future, these remarks will be visible in the HR software when entering your basic details.

You can then make your decision accordingly.

Thanks

Do you feel that Wipro is the only organization in this world to accommodate you in the future? If there was any conflict between you and your manager, better analyze the situation to understand why it happened and avoid such situations in the future. Remember, what happened in the past cannot be rectified by you now.

Conflict with a superior manager is to be considered as indiscipline. So, you should seek a mature resolution before deciding to quit the organization.

I really don't think so. No manager can stop you from rejoining an organization like Wipro, but make sure you are not joining the same branch. However, Wipro does have performance reports for rejoiners, which may have an impact.

I am aware of an engineer trainee at Wipro who was asked to leave after training because his mentor manager felt he was unfit to be an engineer. It was recorded in their system. Eleven years down the line, the same engineer was headhunted by Wipro for a senior manager's position because he had achieved some breakthrough work in his subsequent job, where he stayed for 11 years. Today, he is a VP at Wipro, and everyone working at Wipro in Bangalore knows this.

Merit is Subjective

Wipro has top-class professionals who recognize that you are only as good as your last job. So, don't worry. The world is vast, providing you with opportunities to make significant strides, and who knows, Wipro might just headhunt you back.
