Employee Injury During Festival Holiday: How Should We Report to ESIC?

Dear Sirs,

I have a query regarding one of my company employees who got injured within the premises during the Ayutha Pooja festival holiday. Can we submit the Form 16 (Accident report) to the local ESIC, or are there any provisions to solve this issue through ESIC?

Hi Mr. Ashok,

If it is serious, then you have to do it. If it is a minor accident, then you should note it down in the accident register.

ESIC coverage is for accidents that occur in the course of employment. The fact that the accident happened on the factory premises and that the Pooja is connected with the factory and the person's employment would make them eligible for compensation from ESIC.
