Seeking Alternative Titles for AVP in a Software Startup – Any Suggestions?

We are a startup software company. Is there any other name for the AVP designation for a software product? Any suggestions, please post.

What's the role supposed to be for this AVP? And what are the other senior-level titles/designations in the company? And any specific reason(s) why you want to avoid the title AVP? Nothing wrong in this per se, but giving the reason(s) will enable the members to bear in mind those inputs before giving suggestions.

Thank you for the quick response. AVP will be leading a software product, or you can say he will be the product head. It's not that I don't want to avoid this title, but I just don't want to use the same as others. For now, senior designations are Director, CEO, CTO.

One more question: what is Business Head equivalent to?

3. Have you already identified a person for this position? If so, the designation should align with their experience level. Just because they would lead a project or product doesn’t mean the initial designation should be at that level. Consider potential issues when promoting them later. What designation would you give them at that point?

A Business Head typically oversees the entire business vertical, including P&L aspects, with less technical involvement and more business responsibilities. Initially, a Project Manager or GM-Projects might be suitable. If focusing on products, consider incorporating the product name into the designation.

This information is really helpful. Many things are cleared now. The role of that AVP will be more into BD and Marketing regarding that software. Can you please tell me what should be the minimum experience for AVP and business head, or if it is possible for you to give me the entire list if you can.
