Can We Generate a PF Code for a Company with Just Two Employees? Seeking Advice!

Dear Seniors,

I have a query regarding the PF code generation. We have a group of companies working under one umbrella. In one of our companies, only two employees are working. We wish to start their PF deposition. Kindly suggest whether we can generate a PF code for the organization with only two employees.

Furthermore, please suggest other remedies to resolve this issue.

You may apply for voluntary PF coverage. Please contact your district PF Enforcement officer. He will assist you.

Dear Milind,

You can either opt for voluntary registration with that company or add these two employees to the payroll of another company within our organization where PF registration is already in place.

Mr. Milind,

There is an option to open a sub-code account in EPF, which comes under your main EPF account at your head office. No required employee count for the registration of the sub-code. Please contact your EPF Enforcement Officer to procure the same.
