Is This Job Offer from Shine.com Legit or a Scam? Seeking Your Advice!

I received a call from Shine.com stating that I have been selected for the position of Senior HR Executive at HDFC Bank. They are requesting a payment of Rs. 2050, which they claim is refundable. I would appreciate hearing your opinion on this.

I don't think this is genuine. To the extent I know, Shine.com does not deal directly in recruitment; they are only a job portal. Let me check it out with my contacts there.

This is the reply I just received from the Shine.com Head Office: "Shine never asks any candidates to pay if they get selected for any company."

This is surely a scam. Please avoid paying. If you were supposed to pay any agency for shortlisting you for a potential offer, which you are likely to crack, they would have declared beforehand. Here it doesn't show you knew about this company until you received your offer from HDFC.
