How Should NCP Days Be Rounded: Lower or Higher According to Government Norms?

!dea4u
In EPF calculations, we have to round off NCP days to whole numbers, not fractions. I wish to learn whether NCP days have to be rounded off to the lower side or higher side of the fraction as per government norms.

For example, 1.5 days of NCP should be rounded off either to "1 day NCP" or to "2 days NCP." Please guide.

Dear friends,

1.5 days NCP means the member has contributed for whole days + 0.5. Here, the possibility to round is equal for both contributory and non-contributory periods. In such cases, privilege has to be given to the employee.
