New to Core HR in Retail: Can You Share Basic Activities and Steps to Follow?

Yesterday, I joined as a Core HR in one of the leading retail companies in Guntur. I have 4 years of recruitment experience in the IT, Constructions, and Healthcare industries, but I am new to Retail as well as core activities of HR. Can anyone please suggest some basic activities and a step-by-step process?

HR Functions in a Retail Store

You must be looking after HR functions in a store or a chain of stores. The following will normally be the HR functions in a store:

1. Completing joining formalities
2. Punctuality and attendance of staff
3. Uniforms of staff
4. Payroll issues of staff
5. Leave management
6. Statutory compliance like PF and ESI
7. Grievance handling at the store level
8. Training needs of staff
9. Disciplinary issues
10. Medical care
11. Full & Final settlement issues at the store level
