athine28fcs@gmail.com.my
Hello there, I'm Augustine from Malaysia (Borneo). As an HR Officer in the Training Development Unit, the company's business field is Manufacturing / Producing Polycrystalline Silicon. I have been requested to conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA). With limited experience, I would appreciate advice and opinions from the CiteHR members.

1. What are the steps?
2. Are there any samples of questionnaires available? Quantitative / Qualitative?
3. Technical & Non-Technical aspects.
4. What tools should I use?

I hope to receive a positive response. Thank you.

Identifying Training Requirements

First, you have to identify the predefined training requirements through job analysis of your employees. These requirements will be the criteria for the TNA framework around which you have to formulate a distinct training plan for your employees. These criteria would definitely help them to choose among the available possible alternatives.

You can use questionnaires to get the opinions of employees on the training needs they want. Other techniques may include direct observation of the job performer, consultation with persons in key positions, interviews, assessments/surveys, work samples, etc.
