Feeling Stuck in a Dominant Work Culture: How Should I Handle My Resignation and Salary Delay?

I am working in a Chemical Company (head office) in Mumbai as a Sr. HR Executive for the past 7 months. I am not satisfied with the job and the culture. It is a typically very dominant culture with no scope for learning new things.

I had a discussion with the Managing Director and resigned verbally on 7th September 2015, and he accepted it as well. I have also requested to be relieved by 16th September 2015. For your information, I am in the probation period, and there is no policy in my Appointment Letter regarding the notice period during probation. I didn’t write the resignation letter because things may turn out against me.

Now, the company has not processed my August month's salary and is trying to retain me as well. I am currently working in the same company; however, I have made up my mind to leave this job.

Kindly suggest what I should do?

Immediate Resignation Considerations

Put up a written resignation on an immediate basis. You are on probation, and the appointment letter does not prescribe any particular notice period. Meet the MD directly but politely, and ask him why your pay for 08/15 is being held up. If you are not happy, then the best option is to leave. Alternatively, you could wait for a few days, receive your monthly pay, and then quit in October without notice. Of course, the company may not provide you with proper release documents. Anyway, they are behaving oddly, and you are left with no reasonable choice for a mutually settled exit.

Thank you for your advice. I requested them to release my August salary, which they provided on 25th September 2015. They are trying to retain me because there is no other person in HR except me. I am planning to get the monthly pay for September 2015, talk to them the very next day, and leave. I am also sure I won't be getting the relieving letter or experience letter, which will become a serious problem in my new employment in the near future. They didn't provide a salary slip as well.

Moreover, 1st May (Maharashtra Diwas) and 2nd October (Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti) are working days. We don't even get the national holidays. How do I convince them to provide the experience letter?
