Feeling Lost as a New HR Executive? How Do I Create HR Plans from Scratch?

I am working as an HR Executive in an IT firm. I have only 9 months of experience, and in my firm, I am the only person in the HR department. My General Manager has now asked me to give him some HR plans. As I am not experienced, I don't know what to do in this regard. The only HR policy that we have in our organization right now is a leave policy.

When he wants HR plans, it means he wants you to come up with a plan to enhance HR from its current level. Search the research button for HR policies, and you will have enough guidance to move ahead. Just a caution, kindly modify the policies to suit your organization's needs; do not blindly copy-paste as it will cost you in the long run.

Which kind of HR plan is he asking for? Is it related to training and development, attendance, leaves, employee engagement, recruitment, or something else?

HR plans are what he told me. All HR activities are what he meant, such as induction, employee engagement, employee handbook, grievance methods, etc...

1. Induction Policy
2. Employee Handbook (detailing the rules in the company)
3. Leave Policy
4. Performance Appraisals
5. Compensation and Benefits
6. Employee Engagement - Birthday Parties, department or company lunch, Get-togethers, Picnics (Team building activities), traditional day, rangoli day, etc.
7. Travel and Reimbursement Policy
8. Recruitment Policy
