Dear sir, I am working as an Area Business Manager in a pharma company. I joined this company on December 2, 2013, and I am a confirmed employee. I was on medical leave from July 6, 2015, to August 3, 2015, due to a backbone injury. I provided proper medical certificates and availed the leave. I rejoined on August 4, 2015, and worked for one week. However, on August 10, during a meeting, I was asked to submit my resignation. The reason given was that none of my medical representatives want to work with me as I cannot do fieldwork individually, so I should resign. They are currently holding my July expenses and salary, and my seniors have my salary in the form of a Bank DD. They are requesting that I give one month's notice before releasing my salary. I have communicated all of this to the HR of my company, but he has not responded to my emails. Instead, he is calling me and asking me to resign over the phone.
Could you please advise me on analyzing my situation? I am actively looking for a new position and have not submitted my notice of resignation. Are there any legal options or suggestions on how I can retain my job and receive my due salary?
Thank you.
