Worried About Final Settlements After Termination at Wipro? Seeking Advice on What to Expect

I was with Wipro for more than 7 years, and I was terminated due to a BGV issue. During the BGV discussion, they mentioned that I would not receive a service certificate, and they stated they would only provide a relieving letter after a week. Settlements such as leave encashment and gratuity will be processed within 30 days to my savings account. I still have doubts about receiving all my settlements without any issues. Please advise.

Hi,

Normally, employers can't defame you. There should be some other reason rather than your background verification. This is from my understanding. You should start looking for another job. Don't engage in any conflicts regarding settlements and gratuity matters. Those issues are handled by the PF team, which is a different department.

Thank you thalai. It's been more than 10 days, and I have not received my relieving letter. I have a fear that they may mention something negative in it. However, I have already started searching for a new job.

The background verification (BGV) was completed twice, once by Wipro and once by the client, and both were positive. Now, they are conducting the process again for all employees randomly with a new BGV process. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide the requested document as my previous company no longer exists. As a result, they have asked me to resign. :-(

I have received my relieving letter, and they mentioned, "Reason for leaving: Misrepresentation of facts at the time of joining."

I am really worried about this and want to know how it's going to affect my career. Please advise.

Does the fact that the previous company does not exist mean that there was no such company at all, or has the company wound up now? What documents did the company ask you to furnish? What fact was misrepresented at the time of joining?

I had provided my experience and relieving letter, and it was verified twice in the year 2006 by Wipro and the customer. I was receiving a salary of only 8000 (non-taxable income) as a stipend. It was a very small company with only 8 resources. Now they are asking me to provide Form 16 or a salary slip, but I couldn't.

If they had requested the same at the time of joining, I could have been able to provide it as the company existed around that time. Now, I am helpless, and I am unable to prove myself. Anyway, now I cannot do anything. I am trying for a new job. Please advise on how to manage or convince if there are any questions on this comment.
