Understanding CCA in Salary Payroll and the Importance of Employer Declaration for PF Claims

harshuharshitha
Dear sir,

I am Harshitha, working in a private company in the HR department. I have one question: Could you please explain the meaning of CCA in salary payroll? Additionally, can you clarify why the Declaration by Employer form is required for PF claims?

Thank you.

C.C.A stands for City Compensatory Allowance, which is admissible to Central government employees as compensation for the higher cost of city livelihood. The amount may vary according to the category of cities.

Dear Friend,

CCA means: City Compensatory Allowance. (I do enclose herewith MSTC rules on city compensatory allowance, which will further clarify your doubt.)

Declaration Form: An employer has to retain the form duly filled. This form contains all the information of the employee for future reference.

Yes, CCA means City Compensatory Allowance. The Government of India has dispensed with this allowance since the implementation of CCS (Revised) Pay Rules, 2008.
