Navigating CLRA Act: Can We Hire a Sub-Contractor Without Our Own Premises?

Good Morning! Please help me solve a query related to the CLRA Act. We are the main contractor and obtaining the license for 110 workers. Now, we want to hire a sub-contractor. However, the Principal Employer says that we have to take the RC to give the contract to the sub-contractor.

Query on Obtaining RC and Issuing Form-V

My question is, is it possible to take the RC if we don't have our premise as we are the contractor? Is it mandatory to issue Form-V to the sub-contractor, or is a mutual agreement okay? Please help me find answers to these queries.

You need not go for an RC. The Authority will not issue an RC for you. The manpower under your subcontractors should be covered under your license and registers.

Remember the term "Principal Employer." It refers to the client for whom we are doing the job and from whom we are getting paid for the work done.

Show the definitions (as per CLRA) to your client and advise accordingly.
