Need HR Guidelines

Hi HR Frnds,
I'm Preena, New to this HR filed, and i have realized that this is my area. I'm very much interested in HR. But i need some guidelines to have a start. I'm working with a young company where there is no significance for a systematic HR ing. But I need to make things better. can anyone guide me to start everything from scratch. Like,
(1) Basic HR policies for a start up
(2) from where I could get the latest HR trends
(3) Employee Management & Relations.
