Guidance on PF Withdrawal Process for Former Employees: EPF Forms, Regional Office Assistance

himanshu.saraiya619@gmail.com
Hello Seniors,

My query is regarding PF withdrawal. I have worked for 3 years at a company located in Bangalore. Since the company is closed, I have not withdrawn my PF amount.

Please let me know the procedure and documents required to withdraw my funds without the authorized signature and stamp of the employer.

Kindly reply at your earliest convenience.

Thanks
Harris Israel
Hi Himanshu,

If you are not employed or employed with a firm that is not registered under the EPF Act, you can approach the Regional Office of the respective EPFO region with which your last employer is registered. The same Form 19 & 10C can be filled and attested by a notary public or a gazetted officer on behalf of the employer. Further assistance will be provided to you by the RO-EPFO.

Dear Harrish,

Thank you so much for the reply.

The company where I worked was in Bangalore, which is now closed, and I have shifted to Gujarat. So, for submitting Form 19 and 10C, do I have to personally visit the Bangalore PF office or can I courier the documents from Gujarat?

Thank you.
Harris Israel
Hi,

Check with any of your ex-colleagues who live in Bangalore; they can assist you in this regard. It is dependent on the RO-EPFO.

You can ask for the UAN number from the previous employer if you left the company a year ago. By quoting the UAN number of the previous company, you can continue depositing EPF from the present company without withdrawing the EPF amount.
