I have 2 Queries regarding the Gratuity Act.
1. As per Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, employee become eligible for the gratuity when he has completed continues five years service. My doubt is whether he has to complete 240 working days in each year or it is only for 5th to continue 240 working days for eligibility.
2. Is paid leave / Sunday (In case of 6 days of week) / Saturday / Sunday ( in case of 5 days of week) / National Holiday, would also be counted in working day for calculation of 240 working days.
