Regarding Gratuity - Notice Period

Hi,
I am going to complete my notice period and 5 years completion on same day. whether i will be eligible to get the gratuity? . My colleagues are telling to me "The notice period cannot be calculated for gratuity". I am a full time employee.

Dear Mr. Sankar,
Notice period has nothing to do with your gratuity. If you have enough service, you will be eligible for gratuity.

When you have been paid salary upto 5 years (inclusive of your notice period) you are eligible for gratuity.

for gratuity it is not required to complete 5 complete years, requirement is to complete 4 years and 240 days. hence you are eligible for gratuity my dear.
