Need Suggestion Sr Software Engineer

Hi all, I'm working as sr software engineer/team lead in mid level it company and I have very good exp of development with latest technology with 6+ year of exp. and I just cross age 30. For some reason I'm moving to new city so I have to change the company, so according to my age will I get engineering job... lot of people tell m that mostly company will not hire developer with age 30+. What do u think this is true, some job says 8 year exp required so its difficult for someone to get exp below 30 year of age. Thx

Don't get disappoint your self considering age factor will effect on your carrier opportunities ,as you said you have the experience of 6+ years in developing so make it your strength and start searching jobs, you will get better than earlier.
As my concern Knowledge never dies and u should choose company which will respect your knowledge not your age.
