Currently, we are having the Employee Pension Scheme 1995. Prior to that, we had the Family Pension Scheme under which certain benefits were provided to the employees who were eligible for a pension. This scheme was withdrawn in 1995, and a new scheme was formulated, which is known as the Employee Pension Scheme. The Family Pension Scheme is no longer in operation now, and hence it is known as the Ceased Family Pension Scheme.

What will be the position of a member who contributed towards the Family Pension Fund (FPF) and attained 58 years on 31-10-1995? He is still in service and will retire on 31-03-2013.

Akhilesh
